While part of humanity seeks salvation by creating the new colony, those who remain under the yoke of the Dominion, increasingly oppressed and desperate, exhausted by suffering, give in to violence and unite in a single force that organizes itself to move war to the oppressors.
The Dominion calls “violent rebels” those who have now become real opponents, and fights against them with the utmost ferocity possible. Ruin spreads in worlds once full of beauty, peace and harmony, and it seems that there is no solution unless one of the two sides, or both, is completely eliminated; the risk of total annihilation is very close, but no one stops; the Dominion will never give up its thirst for power and control, and the oppressed will never accept to live like that again.
The ongoing conflict will one day be remembered as “The War of the Skies”, because it was fought almost entirely in space, involving all the stellar systems explored by man. Except one.
