Many cycles pass and no one effectively opposes the Dominion. However, more and more people can no longer stand the oppression and violence, increasingly wanting to act to save themselves, well aware of how the entire human species has been thrown into an abyss of suffering and fear.
It is evident to everyone, except the Dominion, that the beauty and joy of the past are now only a memory; so a small group decides to get to work proposing, secretly, to search for an unknown world to colonize. A world far away, difficult to find and already suitable for supporting human life.
On the new planet, a colony will be established and no one should know of its existence, except those who will settle there. It must be a refuge for a new beginning, a protected place where to restore that wonder that everyone knew and lived before the birth of the Dominion.
The search begins and while everything takes place in the utmost secrecy, a suitable world is identified. All energies are thus directed to the preparations for the transfer and the founding of the new colony.
Once everything is ready, all the participants in the escape project, which have grown in number in the meantime, suddenly move to the new colony. The Dominion and the remaining population are initially stunned by the sudden, and apparently inexplicable, disappearance of millions of people. It doesn’t take long, however, for it to be understood what really happened.
Thus, in a nearly unfindable stellar system in the galaxy, Tlas, “That which sustains”, is founded as hidden colony that represents, for now, the only hope of resurrection of a once happy and prosperous humanity.
